It was on a day when everything seemed to be on top of me. So I decided to write the different problems down for the prayer bowl. Just the issues, without the details, filled the paper under 5 seconds!
As I was turning to the back of the paper to continue on writing, the Lord spoke to me, “Momentary”! I quickly looked this word up the Bible and found that it says in 2 Corinthians 4:17 “For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendour and an endless blessedness]!”
So that ended my crying out to the Lord for help, and started me thanking Him for the change of mindset!
The issues do not bother me anymore, but instead, now I realise they are achieving for me an ETERNAL glory of BEING more like Him that I would otherwise MISS OUT on, and that far outweighs anything, and EVERYTHING!
Now, our enemy would so love to fail us. Lo and behold, the very next morning, something that would normally push me to the point of losing my joy plus causing me to start groaning and get frustrated happened! I immediately remembered what the Lord told me and a smile came onto my face!
I am so THANKFUL when issues pop up now because they are such a BLESSING and it is GLORIOUS! I could almost see Jesus laughing and jumping around in heaven with this change of mindset that His bride is being perfected!
