Faith Story by Mary Cheong

Earlier this year I signed up for the government’s “Free Mammogram Screening” promotion. I was subsequently referred to Hospital QE2 to have a biopsy done in early June.

A month later, on July 4, I collected my biopsy report which showed that the breast Lump was benign. Praise God.

However the doctor advised I should have it removed and gave me an appointment a month later, August 9th. In my spirit I felt God telling me “Do not settle for less”. God gave me Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to our God who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we would dare to ask, to think, or to imagine; according to His Power that works in us.” This was also the prayer that I put into the Prayer Bowl at 40 Days Dawn Prayers.

God’s Word is true! From August onwards, one thing after another would come up and somehow I could not make it for the operation! One time I was even in the hospital but then got sent home.

On October 27, the church announced the Rhema Fest “Healing Anointing with Rev. Chad” on 14th to 16th November. I talked with God, saying, “I’m not sure if I would be able to attend cos I don’t know if O will be called up by the hospital again” God showed me 2 Corinthians 6:2 “Behold, Now is the accepted time ; Behold, Now is the day of salvation.” So I registered to attend the Rhema Fest.

On the first night at the Healing Rally, Rev. Chad taught us to declare using 1 John 4:17 “As Jesus is, so am I in this world” and “As Jesus does not have this, this sickness… so am I do not have this, this sickness.” Seated, I began to declare “As Jesus has No Breast Lump… so am I (Mary Marina) have No Breast Lump”. When I got back home that night, I also wrote this declaration onto my Radiology Report!

I had also gone forward for prayer and told Rev. Chad that I wanted to pray and believe Jesus to be my Heavenly Surgeon Who would remove this breast lump for me. Rev. Chad prayed, repeatedly declaring “In Jesus Name.. In Jesus Name.. In Jesus Name !!!”

The next morning, I checked myself. The lump which used to be the size of a medium size button was no longer there. Later, in the evening at church, I asked my Zone Leader, a former nurse, to double-check. She too could not detect anything.

An ultrasound was done on 15th January which showed the breast lump has shrunk so much in size that no operation was needed. I was discharged and only to go back for an out-patient follow-up.

Romans 8:28 – For God will work all things out together for good to those who love God,
to those who are called according to His purpose.

Praise The Lord!! Hallelujah !! To God Be All Glory, Honour, Power & Praises !!!
