The disciplines of the Christian life calls for the regular practice of life-giving disciplines. This course will spur us on our spiritual journey from discipline, to devotion, to delight in the various disciplines as followers of Jesus Christ!

About the Speaker
Elizabeth Chen’s passion for God and for spiritual growth led her to attend Rhema Bible Training Centre. Having a desire to see other lives similarly impacted to love, worship and serve God in Spirit and Truth, she recently accepted the role to be a Rhema instructor. A UK-trained midwifery sister, she was also a human behaviour analyst, holding courses in West Malaysia and Sabah.
Presently, she serves as Personal Assistant to the Senior Pastor and Church Office Manager. Together with her husband Michael they zone lead some connect groups in the church. They have 3 biological children, one godson, all married.
Course Description:
To provide students with insight concerning Biblical spiritual disciplines such as solitude, silence, worship, prayer, Bible study. In this course, students will gain an understanding of the necessity and benefits of such spiritual disciplines and learn how to appropriate these disciplines in personal life that will enhance his or her growth in intimacy with God and be prepared for fruitful life and ministry.
Learning Outcomes & Objectives:
- Gain understanding of the importance and benefits of the spiritual disciplines that are essential for spiritual growth.
- Become aware of the various key spiritual disciplines and their purpose.
- Understand how one should apply the various spiritual disciplines covered in the course.
- Develop a greater desire to grow in intimacy with God through applying the spiritual disciplines in their daily walk.
