Faith Story by Goh Yee Shien

Last Thursday, I lost my thermos cup at dawn prayer. I tried getting my friends who work at church to help me look for it, but they couldn’t find it.

I was really upset because I needed this cup for many things – dawn prayer, Rhema classes, work meetings, and much more.

That same evening, Rhema Bible School was being held, and I attended it. During the class, the teacher was shared his own testimony about how he was convicted to have everything he needed or wanted in his house have a God-story – so every time he wanted or needed something, he’d pray about it and let God do something about it. That made me wonder “Man, is my lost cup gonna be a God-story thing now…”

So, I prayed and said something like “I RECLAIM it in Jesus name, my cup is RESTORED to me in Jesus name, I RECEIVE it in Jesus name!”

Every day when I went for Rhema class, I was half expecting a miracle. But I was also half “haiya don’t know la…” ALL 3 DAYS at Rhema Class, I tried to look for my cup. But there was no miracle story – my cup was not found. I started to give up.

BUT! On Sunday, after I’d already given up hope of finding my cup, as I was about to leave the church building, I suddenly received a call from a friend who told me that my thermos cup had been found! I have no idea how it was found…but it was! And I was able to share this amazing story at the dawn prayer that week!

We often say that nothing is too big for God. But let me also encourage you that nothing is too small to pray about, or for God to do something about. What matters to you, matters to God.

God answers prayers. Regardless of whether your prayer request is as small as a lost cup, or as big as a lost soul.
