Cyberspace Thrills & Spills: Addiction, Bullying, and Its Other Concerns

The internet, whether we like it or not, has become an integral part of life. In 2021, the number of internet users worldwide stood at 4.9 billion with an average screen time of 6 hours and 55 minutes per person. That’s 21 years of an expected lifespan and that number is almost guaranteed to increase! We use a digital device for everything from work, socializing, entertainment, and more.

While the internet makes life easier in many aspects, it can also make it harder. Online scams, privacy concerns, bullying, pornography, or addiction can creep into our lives if we are not careful. Whether it comes to our own well-being or to parenting kids, how can we keep ourselves and our family safe in this digital age?
